On display: 44 artworks to celebrate Vietnam Fine Arts Day
TTH.VN - On the afternoon of December 8, Union of Arts and Literature Associations, Association of Fine Arts of Thua Thien Hue province in cooperation with Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Hue and University of Arts, Hue University opened a fine art exhibition on the occasion of Vietnam Fine Arts Day (December 10).

In the exhibition space at the University of Arts, the gallery displays 44 artworks of 44 artists from different generations of the Association’s members. The 44 artworks includes many kinds of arts such as painting, graphics, and sculpture, etc. on various materials such as acrylic, oil painting, lacquer painting, graphic printing, watermark, leaf and flowers, truc chi, video art, wood, stone, and gypsum, etc.
The gallery is diverse not only in terms of materials and shaping techniques, but also expression styles, which are from abstract, semi-abstract to stereoscopic, impressive, realistic and even sculptural installations.
Artist Dang Mau Tuu, Head of Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Hue awards the annual fine arts prizes to the artists.
On this occasion, Thua Thien Hue Association of Fine Arts awards the annual fine arts prizes to three artworks including: “Di San” (“Heritage”) by Nguyen Thanh Hai, “Hoa tau” (“Ensemble”) by Phan Thanh Quang and “Cong” (“Carrying on the Back”) by Le Ngoc Thai. Besides, the two artworks of “Vong am”(“Resonance”) by Le Ba Cang and “Xuan-Ha-Thu-Dong” (“Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter”) by Vo Quang Phat are nominated for the prizes of Thua Thien Hue Literature and Arts in 2017.
The exhibition is opened to the public until December 14.
