Honoring 10 exemplary citizens of Thua Thien Hue province

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of September 25, the Provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to honor “Exemplary citizens of Thua Thien Hue province” in 2023 and award various state-level awards to groups and individuals.

This is the third time the province has voted and honored “exemplary citizens”. This event not only acknowledges the efforts and outstanding achievements done by these typical individuals but also encourages and motivates them, as well as creates drive for further striving and contributions in lives and future.

Addressing the honoring ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said that the achievements that the province has gained over the past time are the testaments of collective effort of the whole community, from the organizations, groups to individuals across all fields of social life. This is not only the result of creativity but also the spirit of overcoming difficulties, facing challenges, and the relentless efforts of the people of the province, particularly the “10 Exemplary Citizens”, a prestigious title awarded by the province to the organizations and individuals recognized by the state.

“Speaking of ‘Exemplary Citizens’, we recognize not only their outstanding achievements in work, study, or social activities, but also their commitment to high standards of responsibility towards themselves, their families, and especially their communities. They are individuals who do not shy away from difficulties but who are ready to take risks, and overcome challenges for the common good of society. Their actions and gestures have spread throughout life and within the community, contributing to the image of Hue in the hearts of every Vietnamese person,” emphasized Mr. Phuong.

Proud to be honored, Professor, Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep shared that as a native of Hue, he not only strives to preserve the cultural and spiritual values of the region but also aims for future integration. He is dedicated to researching and innovating to transform Hue Central Hospital into a leading center for specialized healthcare, a place for training high-quality medical personnel with international recognition.

“The generations of leaders in Thua Thien Hue have been supportive, creating conditions for the intellectual community to contribute wholeheartedly to the development of our homeland. I am always grateful and respectful of this, and I will continue to dedicate my intellect and efforts to our common goals in the future. Let us work together to build Thua Thien Hue to be a centrally-governed city based on our spiritual strength, intellect, abundant potential, and unwavering enthusiasm,” shared Mr. Pham Nhu Hiep.

In addition to the 10 Thua Thien Hue province’s exemplary citizens being honored, on this occasion, 1 individual was awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal; 1 group and 8 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; and 8 groups received the Government’s Emulation Flags.

The delegation was accompanied by representatives from departments and branches.
