Over 40 tonnes of goods and hundreds of millions VND sent to support people in Ho Chi Minh City

TTH.VN - On July 22, the Provincial Business Association has mobilized a truck delivering more than 40 tones of goods including essential foods, worth more than 1 billion VND to Ho Chi Minh City, supporting people who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the morning of July 22, students from Hue Industrial College assisted in the transport of goods sent to support people in Ho Chi Minh City

After being launched for five days, the Association has received the response, financial support and life’s necessities, worth more than 500 million VND, of which, the Association has set aside 200 million VND in cash to join hand with the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association to purchase medical equipment for pandemic prevention and control in quarantine and isolation areas, and nearly 300 million VND as necessities sent to Thua Thien Hue people who are living in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, the Association has connected with localities and benefactors in Quang Dien District, Quang Thai Commune, etc., to contribute goods and food worth more than 700 million VND to support Ho Chi Minh City people and Thua Thien Hue people living in the City.

Previously, the Provincial Business Association had given the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee an amount of nearly 370 million VND, with the aim to support Thua Thien Hue Province and the whole country in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
