Planting semi-submerged forests: Limitation of disasters and conservation of biodiversity
TTH.VN - Recently, the planting of semi-submerged forests has been interested by the authorities and people in coastal and lagoon areas.
Accordingly, 170ha of semi-submerged forests have been planted in the province.
Up to now, some of the semi-submerged forests have been effective in storm protection, flood control and have greatly contributed to biodiversity conservation and people's livelihoods, such as in Quang Loi (Quang Dien), Huong Phong (Hue City).
To help readers better visualize the afforestation activities of the people living along the Tam Giang lagoon, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce some photos of Hoang Phuoc, the photographer, in the days he roamed with people in the semi-submerged forests in Quang Dien area.
