Receiving a rare and precious mountain turtle

TTH.VN - On August 22nd, the Forest Protection Division of Hue City received a rare and precious golden mountain turtle from a citizen who voluntarily handed it over.

Accordingly, through the hotline of the Provincial Forest Protection Division, Ms. Le Quy Tieu Hai living in An Cuu Ward (Hue City) handed over a golden mountain turtle to the authorities, with the wish that it would be released back to nature.

It’s known that, while going, Ms. Hai discovered the rare and precious turtle on the road and captured it to hand over to the authorities for proper care and legal processing.

According to government regulations, the golden mountain turtles belong to Group IIB, in the list of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals that need to be strictly conserved and protected.
