“S-Race 2024” Running tournament: Promoting Hue's image to tourists

With the message “For the stature of Vietnamese”, the “S-Race 2024” running tournament is one of the projects under the program to organize school sports communication activities cooperated on implementing by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Television, and Unicomm Communications Company.

This year, the “S-Race 2024” running tournament will be held in Hue City on March 9th. The opening ceremony will take place at Ngo Mon Square.

This running tournament is a part of the series of launching ceremonies of running day for students in 2024, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. The participants consist of approximately 1200 secondary school students, 1200 high school students, 600 teachers and students from grades 6 and 7, 600 primary school students and parents, 1200 university students, and 180 volunteers from Hue University.

In addition to the direct competition activities, there will be 2 online events, S-Race Online, for various participants such as students, teachers, and parents, simultaneously organized in all 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Each challenge will last for 30 days through the UpRace application.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, suggested that the organizing committee of the running tournament needs to provide specific information on the number of students participating in the event, as well as the number of localities participating in the event. At the same time, attention should be paid to providing working space for journalists from central and local press agencies.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that agencies, units, and localities need to proactively coordinate in organizing the event, ensuring safety, savings, and efficiency. This creates favorable conditions to attract a large number of students to participate in physical training and sports. It is necessary to ensure security and safety measures, prevent accidents during the tournament, develop plans to ensure traffic safety, and regulate traffic for tourists and locals during the running tournament...
