Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee commends students participating in the International Olympiad team

TTH.VN - On the morning of April 10, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to commend students participating in the second round to be selected into the International Olympiad team in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

The provincial leader gives flowers and presents to the students

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and attended by representative leaders of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, as well as teachers and parents of seven students in the team.

After the round, many students have been listed in the top ten students in each subject including Le Cong Minh Hieu, Tong Phuong Thanh An (Physics), Ho Viet Duc (Biology), and Hoang Huy Tu (Chemistry). In particular, Le Cong Minh Hieu, an 11th-grade student, has been excellently selected into the team participating in the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad in Australia in May 2019.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho praised and congratulated them for conquering the peak of knowledge. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believed that with the efforts of the whole education sector, as well as the dedication and silent sacrifice of their teachers and parents, they would have proud achievements. At the same time, he hoped that the 11th-grade students in the team would try their best to get better results in the next examinations.
