Training on “Basic Knowledge of Disaster Prevention and First Aid for Injuries”

TTH.VN - On the morning of October 6, at Quoc hoc Hue High school for the Gifted, the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the United States Forest Services held a training session titled “Basis Knowledge on Disaster Prevention and First Aid for Injuries”.

Over 400 10th-grade students of Quoc hoc Hue High school for the Gifted participating in the training session 

The training class has equipped over 400 10th-grade of Quoc hoc High school for the Gifted with basic knowledge of Disaster Prevention and their roles in the work of disaster prevention in the province. At the same time, they also gave answers to the questions related to disaster prevention and introduced and practiced skills for first aid, including the management of airway obstruction in emergencies.

This provides favorable conditions for students of Quoc hoc Hue High school for the Gifted to acquire knowledge and practice skills about disaster prevention to protect themselves; contributing to reducing the risks faced by students and young people during natural disasters.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention – the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development affirmed that after the training session, students would be able to deal with emergency situations, and they would know the ways to take first aid and save their lives as well as helping others to ensure safety during natural disasters, calamities, and daily life.
