From a shipment for his mother
Like many other young people in the city, with his passion for science and technology since childhood, 2002 Hoang Huu Dao was determined to pass the entrance exam to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, majoring in automation. After graduation, Mr. Dao held many positions at multinational corporations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hue.
In 2018, Mr. Dao was asked by his mother to transport 200 kg of Vinh oranges, which had just arrived at the Northern Bus Station in Hue City. With his motorbike, he struggled to carry all 200 kg of oranges home with 4 times. Since then, he came up with the idea of why not invent a cargo rack to carry more goods at one time on different types of motorbikes.
To think is to do, as an engineer in the field of manufacturing engineering, he went to a mechanical workshop to ask for designing a cargo rack based on his idea. And then the first cargo rack was born. Dao recalls that it was one day in February 2018. From the success of this first product, Dao produced many other products that grabbed the attention of consumers because of their utility in transporting goods by motorbike.

After setting up a website and researching to expand the market, Hoang Huu Dao decided to quit his well-paying job to start mass-producing the professional cargo racks in 2018, with the desire to "start a business right in his homeland". From the first manufactured rack, Hoang Huu Dao has so far researched, invented, and produced about 20 versions of cargo racks for most types of motorbikes. The products are measured with standard dimensions so that they can be installed on more than 50 models of scooters, clutch motorbikes, and electric motorbikes - the thing to which no other type of cargo rack could respond before
Depending on the nature of the work and each type of goods, Dao can invent cargo racks suitable for each type of motorbike. The types of cargo racks are also equipped with chains on both sides to increase the load capacity, helping to transport goods more stably and not scratching the motorbike. All products go through many stages with careful supervision. After being finished, they are all inspected to meet all factors such as withstanding heavy loads, neatness and no bulkiness, and especially not violating the Law on Order and Road Traffic Safety.
Significance and practicality
For the product to stand firm on the market, Dao also sent the samples to register the trademark and named the product "Loc Phat (Prosperity) Cargo Rack". To date, Dao's products have been present in most localities nationwide with nearly 160 reputable establishments. These high-quality products are chosen by many shippers and consumers. These establishments are ready to serve those who need to transport goods more quickly and conveniently.
Hoang Huu Dao also said that currently, the Loc Phat Cargo Rack enterprise puts about 10,000 products on the market each year, with a total revenue of 6-8 billion VND, generating regular jobs for nearly 10 workers at the factory and hundreds of sellers nationwide.
In April 2024, Hoang Huu Dao's "Loc Phat Cargo Rack" product was honored to be named in the " the 5th Strong National Brand 2024 " program. "This is the national program of practical significance in identifying enterprises with quality products to improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods, continuing to carry out the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign. This is also an opening to connect Vietnamese enterprises with foreign partners in the process of international economic integration and to honor the outstanding entrepreneurs in management and business, who made many positive contributions to socioeconomic development," Hoang Huu Dao shared.
Aside from excellence in production labor, Hoang Huu Dao is also known as a person doing many volunteer activities in the locality. Every year, his enterprise allocates funds to offer many gifts and cash to the policy households and poor households to contribute to encouraging and helping them to rise in life.
