Planning irrigation in Thua Thien Hue to 2025

TTH.VN - The planning of irrigation in Thua Thien Hue province up to 2025 with a vision to 2035 was announced by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on the morning of March 20.

According to the newly announced plan, by 2025 the department strives to ensure basic water supply for agricultural production in the provincial area with the frequency of 85% and active water supply for nearly 32 thousand hectares of cultivation and aquaculture area (90% watering area), and ensure water drainage for agricultural production with the frequency of 10%.

The total investment for the whole region is estimated at VND 12 trillion, in which investing in irrigative infrastructure development is nearly VND 9,5 trillion; paying for non-construction solutions is VND 446 billion; and investment expenditure for responding to climate change and landslide situations is over VND 2 trillion.
