Press plays a vital role in promoting and developing tourism
TTH.VN - That is the assessment of delegates in the Conference “The role of media in tourism development of Hue ancient capital and the provinces of Northern Central Vietnam”, that took place on December 7th.

The Conference was hold by the Journalists Association of Thua Thien Hue Province (Team leader of emulation team for the provinces of Northern Central Vietnam in 2019) in collaboration with other Journalist Associations in emulation team. Attending and giving speech in the Conference was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh.
The Conference “The role of media in tourism development of Hue ancient capital and the provinces of north of central Vietnam” was the opportunity for 6 press agencies in Northern central region (Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa) and local tourism management agencies offering solutions to associate the tourism promotion and development effectively through press agencies; seeking the fullest efficiency in the cooperation on promoting regional connection.
At the Conference, delegates respectively evaluated, clarified the positive effects of media in tourism promotion; assessed particularly the connection status between localities in developing tourism; how to write interesting articles to attract investors; ethics of journalists when joining in social network and writing about tourism.
Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh proposed that press is currently doing well; however, whether the media having contributed to the overall tourism development yet still needs an evaluation. In the upcoming time, besides press, media also needs to be balanced and implemented more effectively; the targeted customers must be tourists.
Also, at the conference, local Journalist Associations agreed to launch the press competition in Northern central region on tourism in 2020 to enhance the connectivity better.
