“The 100th Anniversary of An Dinh Palace”
TTH.VN - “The 100th Anniversary of An Dinh Palace” exhibition, held by Hue Monuments Conservation Centre on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of An Dinh Palace (1917-2017), has just opened to the public on November 23 at An Dinh Palace.
International experts, who used to join in the restoration of An Dinh Palace, come back to visit the exhibition.
An Dinh Palace is a unique architectural work of art of the Nguyen Dynasty, with an European style combined with traditional palace decor. Under the reign of Emperor Khai Dinh (1916-1925) and Emperor Bao Dai (1926-1945), An Dinh Palace was the venue of the reception ceremony, the royal ceremonies with the participation of mandarins and officials of French protectorate government.
This was the place where the former Emperor Bao Dai’s family lived after his abdication (August 1945) and also a place of many memories with his mother Tu Cung, the last Dowager Empress of the Nguyen Dynasty.
At “The 100th Anniversary of An Dinh Palace” exhibition, the public has the opportunity to "return" to the final phase of the Nguyen Dynasty, with Emperor Khai Dinh and Emperor Bao Dai's family via the stories from 100 documents, photographs and artifacts with support tools such as drawings, dioramas and models by Kirigami, 3D projection equipment and the application of relics discovery using QR code technology and 360 degree imagery.
