Upgrading Thua Thien Hue press position to national level

TTH.VN - This was the guideline offered by Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho at the meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of Vietnam Revolution Press Day which was held by the Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Electricity Authority on the afternoon of June 18.

According to the Director of Information and Communications Department Le Si Minh, there are 5 local press agencies, 2 central press agencies, 9 representative offices and 23 permanent reporters in the area. With these forces, Thua Thien Hue press is the pioneering force, leading in the work of promptly propagandizing and reflecting all aspects of social life, as well as social – economic achievements of the province.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho congratulated the staff of journalists and highly appreciated the communication activities over the time, especially the impact of communication on the movement “Green Sunday” and “Say no to plastic bags and plastic products”. Thereby, contributing to widely pervading the movements.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho claimed that there are various things that Hue needs to do, and it requires the cooperation of the press. With the desire that the government is the partner accompanying the press, the press will be the information channel, as well as the important link to tighten the relationship between citizens and government.

The province will continue to strengthen the press briefing, promptly inform the press agencies about the policies and activities of the province; setting the interactive information channel between the government and the press to carry out the exchange and interaction between the press and government agencies. Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho also required to upgrade the position of Thua Thien Hue press to the national level, strive for winning the regional and national level press awards in the coming time.
