Fairy Stream - a new destination in summer days

TTH.VN - Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien) is located on the west of Loc Thuy commune. To go there, from Hue City, one should travel southward, passing Phuoc Tuong Tunnel about 300m, then turn right following the sign board on the road. It takes about 5km from National Highway 1A to the stream.

Local people recounted that in the past, there was a forest flower growing on the bank of the stream. In its season, the flowers bloomed along the slopes, which looked like a fairy’s hair, thus everybody called this location Fairy stream.

Fairy stream system is being invested and designed as a complex, including both a lake for yachting and a fresh water stream with 2 boat stations, 2 waiting houses, 1 central food stall, 5 guest houses and 9 bathing streams. The construction project will complete all the above items by December 2020.

 “This area is licensed by the Provincial People's Committee and the Management Board of the provincial Industrial Economic Zone to exploit tourism with a total investment of VND 10 billion in 30 years. Currently, the cooperative has invested in building a system of roads, boats and canoes to take visitors to Thuy Yen lake, a tourist area of ​​about 2km long, including lakes and streams system”, said Mr. Mai Dinh Sat, Director of Thuy An Agricultural Cooperative.

From the waiting station, the boat takes about 5 minutes to carry the guests to Fairy stream. Going on a transfering boat, you will have the opportunity to zoom in the panoramic view of the reservoir.

Thuy Yen is airy, and its landscape is beautiful. After the boat docks, guests can choose a restaurant and bathing place to enjoy a dip in the cool fresh water.

The water source for bathing here is quite abundant and fresh. Prices of specialties are clearly listed, and one can find such specialties as eel, gecko, grilled chicken ... as well as seafood.

“On summer days, my whole family wants to find new streams. This place is beautiful with airy and peaceful environment, bathing position is also suitable for both adults and children. Everyone is excited and makes a promise to come back again!” Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, a tourist from Hue city commented.

Currently, visitors come to the ecotourism area of Fairy stream - Thuy Yen lake are not only local and provincial people but also national tourists as the need to relax and discover new places of some families is rising. On Saturdays and Sundays, the number of tourists coming here is quite high. If traveling on a large scale with a group of 20 – 100 guests, one need to book in advance.

Fees listed by the cooperative include fee for transporting passengers to boat station and passing the stream by boat is 30,000 VND/person; 5,000 VND/person for insurance; 2,000 VND/motorcycle  and 12,000 VND/car for keeping. According to Mr. Tran Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of Loc Thuy Commune People's Committee, the locality is curently focusing on calling for investment to improve the quality of services.
