Not only popular in Europe and North America, caravan tourism is also becoming gradually popular in Vietnam as more and more people own their own vehicles, who are passionate about travel and want to experience driving on new routes. Hue has the potential to develop this attractive type of tourism, but finding the effective exploitation direction is needed.

Hue Monuments Conservation Center recently had a working session with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Ha Duong, managing director of the Vingroup Innovation Foundation – VinIF, to discuss the implementation process of the project “Restoring, training and teaching Hue tuong mask painting art - a traditional art form at high risk of being lost”. The project is built by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and sponsored by the VinIF.

Wherever art troupes pass by, it is like a bustling stage with drums, artists' laughter, and prolonged applause from tourists and people of Hue.

Concerns about losing the “green” image of the heritage-rich ancient capital were prevalent when Thua Thien Hue province began developing industrial and economic zones (IZs and EZs) decades ago. Within the framework of Hue International Art Festival Week 2024, on the afternoon of June 6, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with People's Artist Tran Do organized the opening of the exhibition "Dragon Symbol through Tran Do’s Pottery. The exhibition is displayed in the ancient, splendid space of Kien Trung Palace in Hue Imperial Citadel.

On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of its establishment, on the afternoon of May 30, Cecile Le Pham Art Museum (53 Ham Nghi Street, Hue City) organized a drawing competition for children, with the theme “The beauty of Hue ancient capital’s heritage through the eyes of childhood”. This activity is in response to International Children's Day on June 1.

On the morning of May 24th, Phu Loc Town Secondary School in Phu Loc District held a ceremony to obtain the recognition of its tropical almond tree as a Vietnamese heritage tree. The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Conservation of nature and environment.

Within the framework of the implementation of the national-level independent project on “Studying and evaluating the current status of the avifauna, and proposing solutions for management and conservation of bird species in coastal lagoon area in Central Vietnam”, which is presided over by the Central Coast Natural History Museum, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and implemented by Dr. Ho Thang, the project leader, the research team has recorded the glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) for the first time in the O Lau estuary of Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon.
