During the days of changing seasons to autumn, students from the land of cherry blossoms had the opportunity to set foot in Hue. Here, they had interesting cultural experiences in the ancient capital with Vietnamese friends.

For hundreds of patients being treated at Hue Central Hospital, the afternoon of June 10 was a more bustling summer afternoon than usual as they enjoyed a unique cultural feature of the land of cherry blossoms from the Eisa Urakaji Drum Dance Art Troupe, which was participating in Hue Festival 2024.

From December to January each year, the flowering of cherry blossoms in Sa Pa signals the arrival of another spring.

Visitors to Hue in the summer season are greeted with the sight of fragrant lotus blossoms adorning Tinh Tam Lake, their white petals fluttering like delicate butterflies in the breeze. The gentle and refreshing fragrance of lotus permeates the surroundings, and a passing encounter with this scene instantly uplifts one's spirits.

"Thien thi may doa" (Blossoms of Zen Poetry) was a performance of Zen poetry recitation taking place at Duyet Thi Duong Theater on the evening of March 26. This was an activity within the framework of Vietnamese Zen poetry week jointly organized by Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Tam Viet cultural research group.

Coming to A Luoi this season, you still get the chance to contemplate plum blossoms and pick the fruits from the plum trees grown in the gardens of A Luoi local people. Besides the peach blossoms, at present, the locality is encouraging and mobilizing people to grow plum blossoms in some areas to serve tourism.

When going to Na Ka plum blossom valley, you will catch the image of H'Mong children playing innocently under the canopy of white plum blossoms, with baskets of brilliant yellow canola flowers on their backs, creating a scene that captivates many visitors coming there!

In just a few days, the first national-scale Yellow Apricot Festival will be held in Hue.

“What a pity. I didn’t have a chance to stop by the city of yellow apricot blossoms (ochna integerrima) for a check-in.” It was a message I received from a tourist acquaintance when she and her family just had a north-south backpacking trip after a long ceasing time due to Covid-19.

After the Lunar New Year, A Luoi district and Hue City continue to call for donations of peach blossom trees used during Tet to build A Luoi peach blossom garden. The appeal this time call has many differences, at least it being no longer experimental.

Yellow apricot blossom is a well-known flower in Vietnam. In Thua Thien Hue province, the yellow apricot blossom with an indigenous genetic resource is often known as “Hoang Mai of Hue”.
