Legend has it that at the water source of the Perfume river there is a type of aromatic grass named thach xuong bo. This grass grows prolifically along rivers and streams making their water fragrant. The river is hence named Perfume meaning the river of fragrance.

"75 years - Full of love" was the name of a photo exhibition on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), organized by the Provincial Museum of History for two days July 27th and 28th at Chin Ham - the Nine Bunkers historical site (located in An Tay ward of Hue city).

Artist Hoang Rob confirmed that he would perform in Hue Festival 2022 with his participation in the night concert named “The Eastern Sun”.

On April 13, the Department of Science and Technology organizing the acceptance of the results of the implementation of the Science and Technology project sponsored by the Science and Technology Development Fund named “The Application of grassroots-level scientific records on Tuong Hue masks into the production of Tuong masks for Hue Festival”. In the framework of the exhibition “Vietnam cultural heritages, landscapes and traditional handicrafts” belonging to the National Tourism Year 2021 which is running from December 17 to 24 in Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue introduced the ao dai performance show named “The color of heritage” on December 18.
