On the morning of May 2nd, Hue University announced that in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2024, released on May 1st, Hue University retained its position at 601+ from 2023.

On the afternoon of February 29th, Hue University announced that a female lecturer and scientist from Hue University has just received the 2023 Kovalevskaya Award.

On the morning of February 17th, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Principal of Phu Loc Town Secondary School (Phu Loc District), announced that the century-old tropical almond tree in the schoolyard has been recognized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of the Hue Fine Arts Museum, announced on January 19th that the museum received nearly 60,000 visitors in 2023. As the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced, on November 18th, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director General of the Department of Cultural Heritage, together with representatives from Ministry of Public Security (Vietnam), the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and UNESCO, witnessed the transfer ceremony of the ‘Emperor’s Treasure’ golden seal to Vietnam on the afternoon of November 16th at the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

While busy with two big-budget horror film projects, namely, Hunger: The Code 45 and The Torture Hill, director Luong Dinh Dung has recently announced that he will make a historical drama about Nguyen Trai entitled Hero and Hero. On the afternoon of April 26th, Ms. Ngo Thi Ai Huong - Vice Chairman of Huong Thuy District People's Committee, announced that the Nón lá (conical hats) of Van The (from Van The village, Thuy Thanh commune) would represent Hue's conical hats at the 9th Hue Traditional Craft Festival in 2023.

On the morning of March 30, Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced that they would charge visitors entrance fee for visiting the 3 relics: Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, An Dinh Palace and Emperor Thieu Tri's tomb.
