"Looking at the picture of cancer, many people find it very dark. But for me, it's different; I see this picture lighting up every time. The opportunity for patients to detect and successfully treat cancer is more favorable than ever…". That message was given by Prof. Nguyen Chan Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Cancer Society at the Annual Conference on Cancer Prevention and Control - Hue 2021. And that "picture" is being decorated by the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital) with brighter andvivid colors.

On April 11, Hue Central Hospital claimed that pediatric patient Tran Nguyen Thuy N. (12 months old) - a case of bilateral nephroblastoma that was successfully treated by the collaboration between the Hospital and St Jude Children's Research Hospital (USA) - has returned to Vietnam.

Established on January 3, up to now, Hue Volunteer Doctors Association (HVDA) with more than 100 members has accompanied more than 6,000 cases of F0 home treatment in the city, in which, more than 70% of cases are the elderly, children and unvaccinated patients.

Responding to the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health sector has activated many F0 admission and treatment facilities, significantly reducing the load on frontline healthcare centre. However, at the baseline level medical center, where the workload is already high, the pressure is even heavier on the shoulders of each medical staff.

Transiting and transporting repatriates through the area, transporting goods, supporting oxygen tanks and necessities for isolation areas, social distancing places, blockade zones; and more recently, supporting rapid testing and screening for COVID-19, first aid, transportation to isolation, and treatment areas for COVID-19 patients...

The management, reception and treatment areas for F0 with no symptoms or mild symptoms have welcomed and treated many patients in the area.
