On October 1, Quang Dien District, along with relevant agencies and units, organized the inauguration ceremony of a stele engraved with the poem titled “Viet Bac”, by the poet To Huu in both Vietnamese and Tay languages, at the Cultural Park and Memorial Site of To Huu (Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District).

Heavy rain throughout November 15 caused thousands of houses in key areas across the province to be seriously flooded. The flood also inundated and divided many low-lying areas in Quang Dien, Phong Dien, Phu Vang, Phu Loc districts, etc.

On January 30 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), the traditional wrestling festival of Thu Le village (Quang Dien district) took place, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate and watch. The book “Hoang Viet Nhat thong Du dia chi” by Le Quang Dinh translated and noted by Phan Dang published by the World Publishing House and the Thai Ha Books has just been awarded Prize A at the 5th National Book Awards.

As a locality having the largest area of centella asiatica growing in the provincial area, with around 70 hectares concentrating in Phuoc Yen and La Van Thuong communes, including 52 hectares of centella asiatica grown following the standard of VietGAP, Quang Tho has built centella asiatica as a main OCOP product. Products made of centella asiatica such as matcha centella powder, centella juice, dried centella, etc. are also the favorite choices in the market.
