KinoFest, the German Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by Goethe Institute in Southeast Asia for contemporary German cinema. This year, the film festival will be held in Hue from October 26 to 27 at Lan Vien Co Tich cultural space (No. 94 - 96 - 98 Bach Dang, Hue City).

On the morning of September 18, the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Awards (2018 – 2023) was held at the Cultural and Cinema Center of Thua Thien Hue Province.

Emerging in the late 19th century and early 20th century, jazz quickly spread worldwide, becoming a genre that has attracted diverse cultures in various countries, regions, and communities. It has evolved into a popular art form, connecting with cinema, sports, literature, and many other disciplines. However, in Vietnam, the jazz-listening community remains quite small, lacking widespread venues for the general public. In Hue, jazz is particularly young, both in terms of its audience and the community of musicians who play it.

With advantages in scenery, cultural heritage, and the ancient, tranquil beauty of temples, palaces, relics, and architecture, Hue is becoming a destination of choice for filmmakers. This also presents an opportunity for cinema to expand Hue's tourism reach.

Queen Nam Phuong, the last queen of the Nguyen Dynasty, will be portrayed in the movie “The Last Queen” directed by Bao Nhan and Nam Cito.

On the evening of September 9, at the Provincial Culture and Cinema Center, an art performance program took place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023).

The Provincial People's Committee just announced some information regarding the 12th Provincial Popular Arts Festival, expected to take place from August 29th to 31st at the Provincial Cinema and Culture Center (No. 41A Hung Vuong street in Hue City).
