On the evening of May 17th, the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations (HUSTA) held the 8th annual ceremony to honor distinguished science and technology (S&T) intellectuals in 2024.

The Central Coast Museum of Nature (henceforth the Museum) was established in 2009, and its specimen display space was officially open to the public in 2020. Though still being in its “infancy”, the Museum’s exhibition space has attracted many scientists, researchers, and young people who are passionate about learning and experiencing nature conservation and biodiversity.

On the afternoon of February 29th, Hue University announced that a female lecturer and scientist from Hue University has just received the 2023 Kovalevskaya Award.

At the Award Ceremony of "L'ORÉAL - UNESCO For the Development of Women in Science" in 2023, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung made an impression with her “typical Hue” image upon giving a presentation on the research topic relevant to the potential and application of endemic medicinal plants in Thua Thien Hue Province in supporting disease treatment for public health care. She was among three female scientists honored by L'ORÉAL - UNESCO in 2023.

On the occasion of a recent working trip to Hue and attending a conference themed “The modernization process in Hue and Central Vietnam during the French colonial period”, a delegation of experts and scientists from France and Japan had a visit and working session with Hue Monuments Conservation Center at Tang Thu Lau (Archive Pavilion).

On the afternoon of November 24, Hue University informed that on the same day, the ceremony of the L'Oréal-UNESCO Awards in Science 2023 was held at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Hue University had a female scientist winning the prize.

A scientist from Hue University has just won the International Award of the French Academy of Sciences. That one is Dr. Tran Quang Hoa, Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics, University of Education, Hue University.

That scientist is Dr. Tran Quang Hoa, Deputy Head of the Mathematics Department at University of Education, Hue University.

Thousands of scientific and technological projects, solutions and research projects of scientists and inventors in Hue have been accepted and approved. However, the number of projects transferred and applied to real life and into commercialized products is still limited.
