On July 15, the Provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs collaborated with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports to organize the opening ceremony of a professional training course for swimming and diving instructors in the area, under the project “Prevention of child drowning in 2024”.

It has been several decades since fishermen in Ngu Dien Sea (Phong Dien, Thua Thien Hue) have witnessed shoals of scads, herring, shrimp... swimming to the shore. The inshore sea is reviving!

Along with walking, many Hue people are choosing swimming as a sport, both to relax and to practice and improve their health.

That is the confident statement of many students after completing a free-swimming class organized by the Chi Thien Fund for Children this summer. Sharing with Thua Thien Hue Weekend about the idea of implementing the Free-Swimming Program, Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy, Director of Chi Thien Fund for Children, Chief Representative of Taiwan’s Zhi-Shan Foundation in Vietnam, shared:

While Ba Trai and Hop Hai springs bring fresh and cool feelings, Vung Thung, one of the springs of the magnificent Bach Ma mountain is attractive with the huge and clear natural “swimming pool”, which is suitable for tourists in love with swimming.

With the passion and desire to give children and family a place to play and relax in their spare time, Nguyen Truong Tung, a construction engineer living on Nguyen Tuan Street (Hue City), did not hesitate to invest in building a swimming pool and a green garden on the roof of his house.

On the morning of July 13, the provincial Youth Activity Center held the opening ceremony of “Free swimming class for children in 2022” at its swimming pool.

The national 25m-pool Swimming and Diving championship 2022 was officially opened on the morning of March 6 at the Provincial Sports Center (swimming pool at No. 2 Le Quy Don street, Hue City).
