On July 19th, the Provincial Urban Development and Investment Management Board held a seminar to announce the 1/2000 scale subdivision planning project for Thanh Tien ecological urban area (EUA).

As a ‘symphony’ of Hue urban planning, the Perfume River has carried on its historical mission of adorning the elegance of Hue, and is now being preserved. The river will continue to flow in the future, and preserving the Perfume River, therefore, is like preserving the ‘backbone’ of Hue urban area.

A host of environmental problems, urban embellishment, traffic pressure, and traffic network planning need radical and appropriate solutions. The face of a civilized and modern city is what the province is aiming for in the process of building a centrally-run city.

Allocating resources to develop urban space in lagoon and seaside areas; investing in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone; clarifying the shape of a modern Hue City, etc., are some suggestions from leading experts on planning, architecture, urbanization, economy, and so on, at the conference organized by the Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of April 1st to collect opinions on the Urban Master Plan of Thua Thien Hue to 2045, with a vision to 2065.

Late 2021, Hue City People's Committee was honored with the Golden Award in the Second National Urban Planning Awards with the project “Detailed planning on two banks of the Huong River”. This is both an honor and a motivation for the city to continue to invest in improving infrastructure and landscape for a highlight for the space on the riverbanks.

Gia Hoi - Dinh market ancient urban area is a unique heritage, bearing elements of the cultural structure of an ancient urban area. It is existing in a constantly changing residential community. Due to both the pressure of modern urbanization and the lack of appropriate conservation and development planning, this area has gradually been deformed. This leads to the destruction of the historical and cultural architectural space of this area, and the cultural tourism resources are being wasted.
