Inauguration of Hue - Da Nang tourism train

Initially, the train consists of 5 modern air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and 1 community activity carriage, promising to be an impressive “mobile” check-in point for tourists. At Hue and Da Nang stations, the railway sector has also arranged VIP waiting rooms for passengers. During the journey, passengers can also enjoy local specialties...

The Hue - Da Nang railway route is one of the most scenic routes in the country. With a travel time of about 3 hours, passengers on the train can admire the majestic and breathtaking natural scenery where the Truong Son mountain range meets the vast sea, marking the intersection between the North and the South.

Every day, Vietnam Railways Corporation will operate two pairs of trains numbered HĐ1/2 and HĐ3/4 between Hue and Da Nang. Specifically, in Hue, the HĐ1 train departs from Hue station at 7:45 a.m. and arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 a.m.; the HĐ3 train departs from Hue station at 2:25 p.m. and arrives at Da Nang at 5:40 p.m. In Da Nang, the HĐ2 train departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 a.m. and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 a.m.; the HĐ4 train departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 p.m. and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 p.m.

When tourists arrive at Hue and Da Nang stations, automated bicycle rental systems with QR code scanning are set up in front of the stations, making it easy for tourists to get to scenic spots. Thua Thien Hue Province, in particular, has implemented a discount policy for groups and people visiting Hue tourism destinations (applied once per train ticket). It is expected that by April, the train would have Wi-Fi to serve passengers...

Following inauguration ceremony, Thua Thien Hue Province pledged to continue directing relevant agencies and units to accompany, enhance promotion to tourism businesses, residents, and tourists about the tourism train; mobilize enterprises with preferential service policies, support connections with other transportation methods for the passengers to continue the their journey; ensure train operation safety; and promote local tourism specialties on train journeys to attract a large number of domestic and international passengers; achieving the desired goal with the meaningful name “Connecting Central Heritages.”
