Nearly 1.9 million visitors to Thua Thien Hue in the first four months
TTH.VN - According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first four months of 2018, the total number of visitors to Thua Thien Hue was estimated at 1,884,000; in which, international visitors increased by nearly 13% to 757,000.

The total number of staying visitors was estimated at 746,000, increasing by 16%, which was quite high compared to the same period many years ago. Among them, overnight visitors were at nearly 668,000, up by almost 16%; in which, international visitors was estimated at nearly 368,000, up by 22.69%. Revenue of accommodation establishments was estimated at VND 557.1 billion, up by 13.92% over the same period.
The highlight of Thua Thien Hue tourism in the first four months of 2018 was the Hue Festival 2018 themed “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development; Hue – one destination, five World Heritages.” The event brought together special art programs, featuring quintessence of typical cultural regions of Vietnam and the world.
Many key programs and events at the Hue Festival attracted dozens of thousands of audiences. In addition, the fringe activities at the Hue Festival also attracted a large number of participants, including the “Cho Que Ngay Hoi" (Countryside Market in the Festival) with about 220,000 visitors; the International Trade Fair with over 100,000 visitors; the International Cuisine Festival with more than 300,000 visitors; and the festival of “The Colors of Childhood” with 5,000 visitors, etc.
