Cooperating to develop tourism between Hue and Gifu province – Japan

On March 8, Tourism Department held a discussion on tourism cooperation between two provinces: Thua Thien Hue and Gifu – Japan to introduce some outcomes of their joint tourism research projects over the time and the draft plan for their cooperation in promoting tourism promotion of the two localities in the coming time.

Thua Thien Hue and Gifu are two localities having many similarities in tourism potential, especially tourist attractions, historical monuments, culture, cuisine and craft villages. Therefore, the work of cooperating and exchanging experiences on tourism promotion is very suitable. Over the time, the cooperation has partly improved the understanding ability between the two localities. Thereby, the two localities could enhance the image promotion, and initially bringing tourists to visit the two localities reciprocally.

In the coming time, the two sides will keep on deploy activities to promote the understanding and exchange between the departments and residents of the two provinces; exchanging information on website system and social media platforms of the departments, associations, organization and enterprises of the two provinces; participating in the annual cultural festivals of the two localities and holding fact-finding tours for the enterprises and press to their respective localities, etc.

Furthermore, the two localities will also hold a tourism and exchange program between the universities of Hue University and Gifu University, and make it as a part of the annual program plan of the Vietnam-Japan friendship association in order to enhance the exchange activities of two sides.
