Australia supports Thua Thien Hue in building e-Government

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of July 10, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho had a meeting with Mrs. Robyn Mudie, Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho acknowledged and highly appreciated the active and effective support of Australian Government to Vietnam, including Thua Thien Hue in the process of reforming administrative procedures and building, developing e-Government.

In the coming time, the Chairman desires that Australian government, Australian Embassy in Vietnam continue to pay attention, and implement the prompt support for the province in the work of building e-Government so as to have the high quality and fully worked-out products and systems, especially the National E-Service Portal; renovating the implementation of one-door mechanisms, and one-door mechanisms in processing administrative procedures.

The province will keep on strengthening and renovating the model of the public administrative center, upgrading the Smart Urban Monitoring and Control Center to promote the efficiency of the applications being implemented.

Expressing the impression on the achievements in the work of building e-Government of Vietnam in general and of Thua Thien Hue in particular, Mrs. Robyn Mudie believed that e-Government has created the transparency and trust of local people to the government, and it also has created the force for Vietnam’s development in the future. She highly appreciated that the province has planned for economic development, including promoting domestic tourism.

Sharing the experiences in Australia, Mrs. Robyn Mudie said that the Australian government has been designing public services for vulnerable groups of people. In the coming time, Australia will continue to cooperate with and support Vietnam, including Thua Thien Hue in building e-Government, enhancing the efficiency in state management, and building smart urban.
