At the working session, Mr. Anders Haseglgard and representatives of the Management Board of the “Football for All in Vietnam (FFAV)” project discussed some operation results of the project, supported by the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) in Thua Thien Hue province.
Accordingly, over the past 15 years, the community football project of FFAV in Thua Thien Hue province, with a total funding of USD 3,852,709 from the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF), established 216 football clubs with over 1,900 football teams, and 19,000 male and female players with frequent participation; and developed two sample clubs at the Center for Gifted Education of Music, Art, Sports (Hue City) and Huong An Secondary School (Huong Tra Town).
In addition, the project also supported sex education, with 4,656 girls and participated in the Kicking Aids Out network (with the propaganda about HIV/AIDS), etc. Besides, FFAV also gave training on life skills within football activities, as well as games integrating with such messages as personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, environmental protection, communication skills, HIV/AIDS, traffic safety, and mine risk education.
Mr. Nguyen Dung, Vice chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his thanks for the interest and support of the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) to the development of community football in Thua Thien Hue province in recent years. With a high appreciation of the suggestions of the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) for the development of Thua Thien Hue’s football in the coming time, Vice chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that he would direct the departments, sectors and localities to continue to promote the positive results of the community football project in Thua Thien Hue province after 15 years of operation (from 2003 to 2018).
