Signing MOU with Medtronic Vietnam on training to improve skills for doctors

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, along with leaders of the departments and centers of Hue Central Hospital. From Medtronic Vietnam, Mr. Paul Verhulst, Vice President Mainland Southeast Asia, Global Regions - Asia at Medtronic, and managing director of Medtronic Indochina, attended the ceremony.

According to the signed cooperation agreement, Medtronic Vietnam will accompany Hue Central Hospital in 19 training programs, which will last for two years.

The training courses aim to improve the skills of doctors, especially in the field of surgery, to be able to perform advanced surgical techniques for patients, especially in surgeries of cardiovascular, digestive, cardiovascular intervention, and stroke treatment.

Mr. Paul Verhulst said: “Hue Central Hospital is one of our strategic training and education partners.

Today's signing ceremony is an important milestone for Medtronic Vietnam to be able to serve more patients, in more places, and to actively contribute to the transformation of Vietnam's healthcare industry."

Five years ago, Medtronic's cardiology team had signed a training cooperation agreement with Hue, to develop four main therapies for cardiovascular diseases. Since then, the company has continuously collaborated with leading experts in Hue to train many young cardiologists across the country.
