Luxembourg government funds Adaptation and Resilience to Climate Change project in Thua Thien Hue Province
On November 13, Provincial People’s Committee approved the investment project "Adaptation and Resilience to Climate Change in Thua Thien Hue" funded by the Luxembourg Government from the Luxembourg International Climate Fund (ICF).

The project is carried out at 29 communes in Quang Dien district (11 communes), Phu Vang (9 communes) and Phu Loc (9 communes) including 3 main components to implement main tasks such as: raising awareness, knowledge and adaptive capacity; expanding education on environment in primary and secondary schools in the province; supporting to set up a monitoring system appropriate and ready to directly approach the main finance source for the climate change sector; carrying out infrastructure works for resilience and adaptation to climate change in the project area; strengthening management methods, use and conservation of natural resources; supporting market development for organic farming products, the new and sustainable development sector for the region.
The total implementation expenditure of this project is 2.3 million Euro, which is equivalent to over 55.4 billion VND and carried out within 30 months.
