Thua Thien Hue develops smart urban services
The Provincial People’s Committee has just approved the project “Developing smart urban services in provincial area to 2020 with a vision to 2025”.
The total expense is 325 billion VND.
The general goals of this project are to improve people’s living standards; streamline urban management; effectively protect the environment and enhance competitiveness. The project also helps to make the public services more convenient and quicker, strengthen the security, social order and prevent crimes. By 2025, the province will take approach to modern, smart cities in the region and all over the world in the fields of health care, education and tourism.
The project defines 15 priority tasks. The most noticeable tasks are building ICT architecture for smart urban; building basic infrastructure for the development of smart urban services; developing social infrastructure for the development of smart urban services; implementing digital transformation; linking information systems and building the model of smart urban monitoring and management center.
In addition, the project also focuses on the task of building smart healthcare, educational and tourist ecosystems; developing smart traffic and environmental services; developing digital economy; building and deploying civil servant electronic cards and piloting electronic cards for individuals and enterprises; and building plans to attract enterprises taking part in the smart urban development activities.
