Thua Thien Hue province honors sixteen outstanding intellectuals in science and technology

TTH.VN - Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations (HUSTA) hosted a special ceremony to honor intellectuals in Science and Technology 2019 on the afternoon of May 20th.

Science and Technology intellectuals are honored at the ceremony

Sixteen honored science and technology intellectuals came from such sectors as economics, medicine, education… and had remarkable contribution to the development of HUSTA in particular and of the provincial socio-economy in general.

With 286 professors and professor associates, Thua Thien Hue province ranks the first in the Central and Central Highlands and the third in the country in terms of the number of intellectuals. Almost 800 doctors, over 1,000 masters, and more than 200 People’s teachers, Merit teachers, People’s doctors… are the core force in implementing programs for the provincial political and socio-economic development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Thien Dinh welcomed many proposals and initiatives from HUSTA during its operation, and the honoring outstanding intellectuals and amateur inventors at the provincial scale.
