Ensuring tree safety during stormy season
TTH.VN - Hue - “The National Green City” is the urban with highest density of green trees all over the country, with nearly 70.000 urban green trees. The rows of dense and shady old trees on Ngo Quyen, Le Loi, August 23, Doan Thi Dien, Bach Dang, and Le Duan streets, etc., or in the parks such as Tu Tuong, February 3, Ly Tu Trong, etc., have solicited the attention of many tourists amid sunny days.
To ensure the safety for green tree system, as well as reduce damage from the risk of breakage and falling down during the stormy season, the Hue Green Tree Park Center has proactively taken advantage of the good weather to prune the trees, lower its height, apply “healing gel” on cuts with an aim to protect the trees, avoid endangering people’s lives and property in stormy rains.
Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce the photos taken by the photographer Hai Duong during the days he followed the workers of the Hue Green Tree Park Center to do the work of pruning the branches, as well as lowering the height of the trees on streets. More importantly, that were authorities’ effort to protect “Hue’s Green Heritage”, and that effort requires the cooperation of the entire community.
