With special affection for Emperor Ham Nghi, Mr. Gérard Chapuis has diligently collected the emperor's paintings and searched for information in French bibliographic sources, documents, books, and newspapers related to Emperor Ham Nghi to write this book.

Organized by the French Institute in Hue in collaboration with the Faculty of Visual Arts, College of Arts, Hue University, an art exhibition named "Flow" opened on the afternoon of March 15 at the French Institute in Hue.

Continuing a series of activities within the visiting and working trip in Hue, on the afternoon of January 11, Dr. Amandine Dabat, a researcher in art history, the 5th generation descendant of Emperor Ham Nghi, had a talk with students at the French Institute in Hue.

On October 22, the Provincial Institute for Development Studies coordinated with the French Institute in Hue to organize a Seminar on Circular Economy with the participation of Mrs. Emmanuelle Ledoux – Director of the French National Institute of Circular Economy (INEC).

“We will propose to the provincial authorities to consider and coordinate with the French Embassy to Vietnam to agree on a draft of cooperation agreement with the French School of the Far East (EFEO) to exchange and cooperate in data searching and managing, establishing an electronic database and data on heritage digitization, that add more sources of original documents to Hue heritage,” shared Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) after returning from his business trip to France.

On the afternoon of October 19th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting with the Delegation of Wallonie-Brussels, Belgium led by Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister and President of the French Community of Belgium (Wallonie-Bruxelles), who is in charge of international cooperation.

It is the content emphasized by the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Vo Le Nhat at the meeting with Mr. Thierry Vergon, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of France in Vietnam on October 11.

There is an entrepreneur holding dual nationality, with a French father and a mother from South Vietnam. She, though not a Hue woman, has been attached to Hue and strangely crazy about Hue for more than 20 years now. That is also why she transferred most of her cultural and artistic assets to Hue, devoting a luxurious and spacious space inherently for profitable business purposes to building a non-public museum of fine arts.

Dozens of Truc Chi artworks recently created by two French and Vietnamese artists have been displayed for public view at the exhibition called "Ngẫu Liên - Confluence."

As a part of the public program in France, the delegation of Thua Thien Hue province had a meeting with Mrs. Valesrie Guillet - Research Director of the French School of the Far East - Paris (EFEO), together with the participation of research experts, and other experts in preserving the university’s archives and research files.
