On the morning of February 2, a traditional Cau Ngu (fish worshipping) festival and a ceremony to kick off the Southern fishing season in 2023 were held at Thai Duong communal house, People’s Committee of Thuan An Ward, Hue City.

On the afternoon of January 26 (the 5th day of the Quy Mao Tet holiday), Hue City People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the Spring Festival 2023.

On the afternoon of January 15, at Ly Tu Trong Park, Hue City People's Committee held an opening ceremony of the Spring Festival 2023.

On the morning of January 1, at Ngo Mon Gate - Hue Imperial Citadel, the Provincial People's Committee organized the announcement of Hue Festival 2023 with the first activity being the re-enactment of the Nguyen Dynasty Ban calendar distribution ceremony.

Accordingly, with the theme "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", Hue Festival 2023 will be held with successive activities throughout the year, starting with the Opening ceremony for the Festival, the Ban Sóc Calendar Issue Ceremony on January 1st, 2023 and ends with the Countdown Program on December 31, 2023.

After the postponement due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the People's Committee of Hue City is urgently preparing to organize the 9th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 at the end of April 2023.

To implement the Four Seasons Festival Project, Hue City People's Committee continues to organize the 9th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 with the theme "The Vietnamese Craftsmanship," as a continuation of the previous eight successful Hue Traditional Crafts Festivals since 2005.

According to Hue Festival Center, the permanent organizer of Hue Festival, the plan to organize Hue Festival 2023 is being discussed by agencies, departments and experts and is expected to be finalized and published this October.
