Implementing the project “Hue - the Capital of Ao dai” on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8), Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee has issued the promotion of free entrance fee for female visitors wearing traditional ao dai.

From the passion for the ao dai, Nguyen Giang Thanh, a Hue girl, and her associates founded VietCharm, with the aims to promote and spread Hue ao dai in Australia.

The Nhat Binh ao dai is a precious heritage of the Nguyen Dynasty, it has now become a popular dress of Hue women on the occasion of wedding, and been increasingly chosen by young girls when going sightseeing, and checking in, etc.

In the framework of the exhibition “Vietnam cultural heritages, landscapes and traditional handicrafts” belonging to the National Tourism Year 2021 which is running from December 17 to 24 in Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue introduced the ao dai performance show named “The color of heritage” on December 18.

Continuing the series of online exhibitions "Hue - The capital of Ao Dai Vietnam", this week, the Department of Culture and Sports has introduced to the public the exhibition "Ao Dai Hue in the Vietnam Film Festival" on its website and social networking platforms.

The program "Hue people and Ao Dai", a community activity within the framework of the 22nd Vietnam Film Festival, had to cancel the shows at Quoc Hoc Memorial Stele, the Half-Moon Bridge, and Truong Tien Bridge, and turn into online performance and broadcasting, due to the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tourism Department has just organized the tour of discovering movie settings with five-panel ao dai wearing and going by electric cars to serve the delegates and the judges coming to Hue for the 22nd Vietnam Film Festival.
