Compared to their peers living in Hue City and the lowlands, children in the mountainous and remote Nam Dong and A Luoi districts are at a significant disadvantage in terms of access to information technology, books, and age-appropriate publications. However, thanks to the efforts of the education sector, local authorities, and schools, the reading spaces for children in these places are increasingly being supplemented with a variety of books and periodicals, helping them have more "good friends" during their breaks or extracurricular activities.

Nguyen Huu Thong, researcher, former Deputy Director of Hue Sub-Institute of Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, made such assessment of the story of Hue garden houses during a seminar held on April 21st at An Nhien Garden space (Phu Thuong Ward, Hue City).

The exhibition of winning artworks of the UOB Painting of the Year competition, which was held for the first time in Vietnam in 2023, has just opened at Le Ba Dang Art Center (Hue Museum of Fine Arts, 15 Le Loi Street, Hue City) on the afternoon of April 17.

In the green space of Da:me space coffee, an offline event with the theme "Ánh sáng kinh đô" (Capital City Light) for both professional and amateur photographers from Hue took place. Phuoc Tich ancient village is surrounded by the O Lau river in Phong Hoa Commune, (Phong Dien District), which is 40km north of Hue City. The village was founded in 1470, during the reign of Le Thanh Tong. With its poetic scenery, valuable architecture of ruong houses and garden houses, and unique cultural institutions, etc., the village was recognized as a national relic in 2009. Currently, the functional agencies are preparing a dossier to propose the village to be recognized as a special national relic.

A large crowd attending Hue Nam Temple Festival (or Hon Chen Temple) took part in a solemn land procession from Thien Tien Holy Shrine (352 Chi Lang, Hue City) to Nghinh Luong Dinh (Nghinh Luong Pavilion) before embarking on boats to move to the temple.
