This December 2023, the Regional Container Lines (RCL) from Thailand opened an international container shipping route to Chan May port. This shows not only the potential and advantages of the port but also a driving force and catalyst contributing to the development of the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general.

Recently, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam) co-hosted a conference titled: “Green Transitioning for Economic Prosperity: Future for East-West Corridor”. Mr. John Rockhold, President of AmCham Vietnam, foreign diplomatic missions, businesses, experts, and investors from Vietnam, the United States, Laos, and Thailand attended the conference.

Public investment resources play a significant role in speeding up economic, political, and social development, especially in the construction of economic and social infrastructure, creating a favorable environment for production, business, and enterprise activities. Green growth is a cross-cutting goal in the economic and social development of Thua Thien Hue. In order to realize this goal, shaping green growth starts with investment promotion is considered a key.

Roads in Thua Thien Hue province have been expanded, connecting localities and created momentum for socio-economic development activities of the province.

Upon the completion of the mission of preserving and promoting cultural values, Hue Festival is performing its larger role of contributing to socio-economic development.

Many large projects have been launched in the expectation of kick-starting the socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue. With the policy of investment attraction, after the pandemic, the economy is making a step-by-step recovery.

After the joy when the project for Thuan An Bridge and the coastal road has just commenced, Hue people are currently excitedly awaiting the project for Nguyen Hoang Street and the bridge over the Huong River – a vital project not only contributing to the beautification of Hue City but also ushering in a new turning point to foster the provincial socio-economic development.
