The Digital Transformation Week - Hue 2024, themed “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerating Socio-Economic Development,” is expected to present solutions for digital transformation (DT) utilizing AI, contributing to the advancement of the digital society and digital economy. Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, shared insights about this important initiative with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

In the context of the global economy shifting toward sustainable development, businesses in Thua Thien Hue are constantly innovating to keep pace with the times. More and more consumers are paying attention to products made with sustainable and environmentally friendly processes. It has been a few years since I had the chance to cross Hai Van Pass. In 2024, numerous key projects in Thua Thien Hue province are expected to be completed and operational, promising to generate new momentum for development within the province. Taking place from October 23 to November 26, the online contest to learn about the Hue-S digital platform is organized by the Department of Information and Communications with the desire to contribute to improving digital skills and promoting the development of digital society and digital economy of the province.

As part of the plan to stimulate tourism and service demand, Hue City is completing its infrastructure and implementing many solutions to develop the night-time economy to attract visitors.

Inflation along with the impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic affects the global economy, causing escalating prices and many difficulties to people’s lives. After the pandemic, people’s travel demand has increased, and the trend of economical travel has emerged since then.

The event is held in Hue with an aim to contribute to stimulating local tourism and promoting the image of the people and landscapes of Hue City to international friends so as to develop the local economy.

Allocating resources to develop urban space in lagoon and seaside areas; investing in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone; clarifying the shape of a modern Hue City, etc., are some suggestions from leading experts on planning, architecture, urbanization, economy, and so on, at the conference organized by the Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of April 1st to collect opinions on the Urban Master Plan of Thua Thien Hue to 2045, with a vision to 2065.

From the orientation of fast and sustainable development towards green growth of the province, the movement of green startups and applying the circular economy (CE) model is spreading vigorously.
