After more than 10 years making a living in the tourism industry, Truong Thi Huyen (born in 1986) had to quit her job due to the impact of COVID-19. Huyen turned to another fun and exciting hobby of Macrame art, which is still quite new in Hue Ancient city.

On the morning of February 23, the project ‘Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam’ (sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Vietnam through WWF-Norway) and the Provincial Center for Innovative Startup officially launched the contest “Initiatives to reduce plastic waste - Hue 2023”. The contest was held with an aim to find innovative ideas to reduce plastic waste in Hue City.

On the afternoon of January 4, the Center for Social Work and the Child Protection Fund - Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs organized a ceremony to award 50 scholarships to 50 students in especially difficult circumstances who achieved good results in study in Hue city and Huong Tra town. On the afternoon of November 23, Hue University has collaborated with Viet Nam Education and Social Assistance Foundation (VESAF, NFP) and Hearts for Hue Fund to award the VESAF scholarships for the 2022 - 2023 academic year to students of Hue University.

With unique designs, “limited bags” in the form of conical hats, ice buckets, wooden baskets, shopping baskets… are used by young people to carry their books to school, making the school environment more fun and exciting.
