On the afternoon of April 18, the Department of Tourism, in cooperation with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, welcomed the MICE tourist group to Hue managed by Vietravel at the yard in front of Ngo Mon gate - Hue Imperial Citadel.

Yellow apricot blossom is a well-known flower in Vietnam. In Thua Thien Hue province, the yellow apricot blossom with an indigenous genetic resource is often known as “Hoang Mai of Hue”.

On the early morning of January 10, lunar calendar (on February 10, 2022), the villagers of Lại Ân (also known as Sình village, in Phú Mậu commune - Hue city) went to the communal house to perform rituals to Thanh Hoang (Tutelary god), worship ancestors and organize “vật lệ” (a small-scale wrestling event) in front of the communal house yard.

“Thank you Hue city, for bringing such loving hearts to Saigon. The work is hectic, but the doctors always treat the patients with soft, sympathetic words…”. Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City in "windy" days was still warm with the white-coat soldiers on the front lines of pandemic prevention and control. People from far away come to join the city to "fight the enemy"_ COVID-19.

At the Thai Family Ancestral House, Prof. Dr. Thai Kim Lan’s family had prepared banh chung, banh tet, phap lam, and phu the cakes from the previous day. After finding a satisfactory bamboo pole, the homeowner would perform a ceremony to worship the ancestors and then arrange incense table, candle, betel nut, wine, etc. in front of the yard to begin the ritual. Red couplets would also be prepared in advance and written in a conventional calligraphy style. In a dignified and joyful atmosphere to welcome the new year, the bamboo pole will be erected with the joyful jingle of the bell hanging from the top of the bamboo pole. The bamboo pole will celebrate Tet with the family and neighborhood until it is lowered on the 7th of January (Lunar Calendar) when everyone goes back to work in the new year.

This activity was held by the City Commission of Mass Mobilization in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hue City on the morning of January 23.

In order for yellow apricots to bloom in time to welcome Tet, in these days, Hue Green Park Center is mobilizing human and material resources to pick leaves off apricot trees in the gardens along Le Duan Street and in front of the Hue Imperial Citadel.
