 Overview of the meeting

Discussion during the meeting revealed that recent collaborative activities between Thua Thien Hue and partners from New Zealand, Canada, Norway, and Switzerland (abbreviated as G4) have primarily focused on community support through international non-governmental organizations.

For Canada, the focus of cooperation is on culture, education and training, gender equality, climate change response, environmental protection, and heritage conservation. Cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Norway primarily focuses on community development support. New Zealand’s partnerships are centered on humanitarian aid for the poor and disabled, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as education and training. Switzerland, on the other hand, mainly cooperates in the field of community support through the acceptance of foreign non-governmental organization (NGO) aid.
