Facebook to holistically cooperate with Thua Thien Hue on the digital platform

This is also the very first comprehensive cooperation program ever shaped between Facebook and a province/city in Vietnam.

The partnership marks the beginning of a series of activities to support Thua Thien Hue province in the digital transformation process to make Hue a centrally run city in the near future.

The partnership between Facebook and Thua Thien Hue will be deployed across the five pillars initiated by the campaign “Facebook for Vietnam”, including:

Digital economy (training digital skills for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as businesses run by women in the province).

Innovation (introducing interactive virtual reality technology to the promotion programs of Thua Thien Hue’s image, contributing to the development of the local forces of programmers and software developers and at the same time encouraging them to creating and applying new technologies to respond to the practical needs of their homeland).

Safety on social media and digital literacy (providing training to equip teachers and students with essential digital skills on the ground of the program "Digital age thinking").

Smart city support (helping local departments make good use of Facebook's available tools in their communication and interaction with residents).

Facebook for the community (training on digital skills in disaster response, assisting relevant agencies to connect with each other and communicate to the people through each stage: Preparation - Response - Recovery).
