TTH.VN - On the afternoon of September 15, Hue City People's Committee hosted a courtesy reception for Ms. Françoise Le Godec - President of the Bretagne - Vietnam Association.

At the reception, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, Mr. Vo Le Nhat, highly appreciated the activities of the Bretagne - Vietnam Association for their contributions to supporting underprivileged students in accessing education and vocational training, creating stable employment opportunities, and improving the lives of impoverished households in the city. He also proposed that the association continue supporting ongoing programs in Hue City and expand vocational training and livelihood improvement initiatives for poor farmers in the area in the near future.

The programs, sponsored by the Bretagne - Vietnam Association since 2011, have been implemented in the city including vocational training for 100 disadvantaged youths in Kim Long and Huong So wards; supporting clean vegetable and rice cultivation for 20 poor farming households in Huong So ward; providing lunch and extracurricular tuition fees for kindergarten students in resettlement areas and operational expenses for the Van Xuan Kindergarten in Kim Long ward.

It is known that the Bretagne - Vietnam Association is a non-governmental organization from France, established in 1990. Over time, the association has been involved in various humanitarian activities in Vietnam, with a focus on education, healthcare, and credit fund..

This publication is a rather a substantial work translated from the original Vietnamese “Thi pháp Truyện Kiều” (The Poetics of the tale of Kiều) by Professor Tran Dinh Su. This is one of the very rare Vietnamese social science research publications to be translated and published in France.
