Hue Festival 2020 will be held on April 1 - 6, 2020

TTH.VN - On July 15, Hue Festival Organizing Board announced that with the theme "Cultural Heritage together with Integration and Development – An always-new Hue", the 11th Hue Festival will be held on April 1 - 6, 2020.

There will be many community activities for tourists to join in Hue Festival 2020

The 11th Hue Festival is expected to be attended by 20 countries across 5 continents, a significant number in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Hue Festival's establishment and development; in which, France would still be the principal partner.

This festival particularly focuses on the diversification of art forms, both traditional and contemporary, selecting the typical, unique and well-qualified art troupes from international festivals and art competitions worldwide coming from nations that have a unique culture, consistent with the artistic criteria of Hue Festival.

Regarding the domestic partners, Hue Festival 2020 will be attended by central art units directly managed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; a group of 3 cities: Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City; independent arts troupes and singers with specific and high artistic quality from various cultural regions.

Festival Hue 2020 also focuses on events and activities with great sense of community in order to meet the diverse needs of local people and visitors when coming to Hue during the festive season.

Heritages in the treasure trove​ of Vietnamese cultural heritage

Ngo Mon Bell, the Throne of Emperor Duy Tan, the Stone Relief under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang and the Dragon Statue under the reign of Emperor Thieu Tri are the four artifacts requesting National Treasure Recognition in 2024. The Stone Relief under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang is currently on display for close-up look at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.
