In Search of Hue Culinary Ambassador - season 4

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of October 26, Hue College of Tourism, in collaboration with Cholimex Food Company, organized a competition in search of Hue culinary ambassador - season 4, 2023, with the theme “Delicious Hue Dishes”.

 The competing teams showcasing their skills in preparing dishes

There were 25 teams participating in the competition, comprising 2 contestants each, preparing 1 Hue dish for 4 guests. The dish was presented either in a traditional or contemporary style while ensuring food safety.

The competition’s organizers encouraged the teams to prepare traditional dishes and/or regional specialties from Hue cuisine, alongside with investing in creative ideas for the food presentation and names. The teams were also encouraged to provide insights into the historical story of the dishes.

Upon the conclusion of the competition, the organizing committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 1 creativity award, and 5 consolation awards to the winning teams.

The competition “In search of Hue Culinary Ambassador” was held to enhance students’ knowledge of Hue cuisine and provide necessary vocational and soft skills for those studying in the faculty of cooking techniques in the era of integration. Furthermore, it also provides a wholesome and useful playground for them to exchange ideas, share knowledge, cooking skills, and experiences. The competition also aimed to contribute to building a skilled chef team for the future and promote the brand name “Hue – A Culinary Capital”.
