“Perfume River - A River of Poetry” event launched

Song Huong Magazine has overcome numerous hardships and experienced many joys, receiving the faith and love from readers. Among them, the Poetry on Perfume River section has garnered attention from numerous domestic and foreign collaborators.

Perfume River to this day, still carries within its flow a rich cultural alluvium of the place where it was born. This region, with a history spanning over 700 years, encompassing Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, and Thua Thien Hue, holds many remarkable cultural heritages and a rich tradition of literature, especially in poetry, music and painting.

The opening ceremony delighted poetry enthusiasts with various poem readings, such as “Afternoon on the Perfume River” (Nguyen Khoa Diem), recited by artist Dieu Binh; “Written on Vong Canh Hill” (Vo Que), “Drinking with Hue” (Hong Nhu), recited by artist Kim Hong... Additionally, the audience had the opportunity to listen to poems while admiring paintings presented by artists from Hue and Thanh Hoa, who complemented the exhibition with their paintings to accompany poetry.

Earlier on the same day, Song Huong Magazine also organized an art exhibition with the theme “Returning to the Heritage Land” in the afternoon. This event was held to celebrate the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st).

The exhibition drew the attention of art enthusiasts

At the exhibition, 23 artworks by artists from Hue and Thanh Hoa were showcased to the public. The artists' creations, which revolved around the theme of Hue's heritage, were expressed through various styles and materials, captivating a large audience of art lovers.

On this occasion, Song Huong Magazine awarded the artists with certificates for their participation in the exhibition.
