Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Ngoc Tho, said that the COVID-19 epidemic was developing in a very complicated and unpredictable manner, with the spirit of “fighting against the epidemic like fighting against the enemy”, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Steering Committee had had many guidelines and measures to mobilize the entire political system, levels, sectors, and the people to drastically prevent and control the epidemic.

As the front line and core forces, the military forces have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships, facing the risk of infection, to fulfill the noble mission to prevent and repel the COVID-19 epidemic. The images of military officers and soldiers in the fight against COVID-19 epidemic have been recorded, highly appreciated and deserved to be the spiritual fulcrum of the people, and a strong support of the compatriots, and comrades in the whole country in the prevention, control and determination to push back and triumph over the COVID-19 pandemic.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the military officers and soldiers, who are directly participating in the frontline in the COVID-19 prevention and control day and night, so as to prevent the epidemic to spread in the community. He asked the military forces to continue to promote the quality of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", continue to be more determined with the forces and the people to soon push back the epidemic, contributing to preserving the peaceful life for the people.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificates of Merit to two teams and five individuals of the military forces for their outstanding achievements in the COVID-19 prevention and control.
