Honoring student winning bronze medal in Asia Physics Olympiad 2019
TTH.VN - On the afternoon of May 14, a ceremony was held at Quoc Hoc High School for Gifted Students to commend Le Cong Minh Hieu, an 11th-grade student of the school, winning the bronze medal in Asia Physics Olympiad 2019.
The 20th Asia Physics Olympiad in 2019 was held in Australia, with the participation of 22 countries and territories. The competition had 165 competitors; among them, 87 competitors won awards including nine gold medals; 16 silver medals; 33 bronze medals, and 29 certificates of merit. Vietnamese team participating in the competition won two silver medals, five bronze medals, and one certificate of merit.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Phuoc My, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training praised and congratulated Le Cong Minh Hieu for his efforts in the process of conquering knowledge; and praised the teachers teaching the physics team, who had inspired enthusiasm to derive the achievements. It is hoped that Le Cong Minh Hieu will go even further on the international competitions in the following years.
On this occasion, Quoc Hoc High School for Gifted Students and the parents' association presented VND 10 million to Hieu so as to motivate and encourage him in studying.
